Why companies choose our corporate training
Your costs can be reduced
As the UK’s no.1 construction training provider, we could provide training at a lower cost than many organisations can provide for themselves or by outsourcing to other providers.
Greater convenience
With 13 OLCI centres across the UK, you can minimise the time your engineers spend away from work for their training and assessments. Equally, travel/accommodation costs can be lower because engineers are training at their local OLCI centre. In addition, on certain courses, our team could provide training and assessments at your premises.
Training can start when you want
Our flexible approach to corporate training doesn’t constrain engineers with term times or rigid study timetables. Our courses begin every month so your engineers can begin their training when it suits you and them, enabling them to become more productive sooner. You can read about the

Multi-skilling your staff for increased efficiency
With our comprehensive range of trade courses, your engineers can receive up-skilling, retraining or new training so they could become versatile multi-skilled engineers. This can result in improved efficiency within your organisation as a broader selection of work may be carried out by each engineer.
Bespoke training
We have a highly flexible approach. As well as providing training and assessments in plumbing, gas, electrotechnical and renewable technologies, we can offer training in a range of other trades too. We could even develop specific training in an OLCI centre in order to meet your requirements. For more information, please call an OLCI Account Manager on Freephone 0800 9 808 755.
Experienced trainers and assessors
OLCI trainers and assessors are highly experienced former engineers who have also spent many years in the training and assessing arena. They provide high standards of service and continue to develop themselves through continued professional development.
Rigorous quality management
OLCI is proud of its reputation. Our quality control means courses are consistently delivered throughout the OLCI network. So whichever of the OLCI centres your engineers train at, they can enjoy the same high standards, service and quality of training. Our national Quality Management System is run by 4 regional Training Development Managers who manage 11 Internal Verifiers. Our internal systems are externally monitored and verified by our awarding bodies.
Training for industry recognised qualifications
Our corporate training enables your engineers to train for assessments, reassessments and updates in industry recognised qualifications, including City & Guilds, EAL, BPEC, NVQ, Logic Certification and ACS for being on the Gas Safe Register.
A professional environment for your engineers
Our state-of-the-art training centres and experienced tutors create the ideal learning environment for professional male and female engineers who are making a serious commitment to achieving career success.
Prioritising health & safety
The importance of health & safety is drummed into engineers from the outset so they can walk onto a professional work site. A PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kit can be provided to each person and, depending on their chosen course, it will include items such as eye protection, cutting gloves, hard hats, hi-vis clothing and kneepads. For working with loud noise, ear protectors are also provided. Learners are not permitted to enter the training environment without their steel toe-cap boots and the suitable PPE.
One point of contact at OLCI
With our corporate training you can have one point of contact who co-ordinates your engineers’ training from start to certification. If you have questions or would like advice or updates, you can simply call your Account Manager.
Management of training needs
Employers have many demands on their time but managing engineers’ training need not be one of them. Your Account Manager can tell you what training is needed and when, and could even inform you of new qualifications. He or she can also organise and arrange your engineers’ assessments and reassessments.
Monitoring your engineers’ progress
We understand that you would probably be keen to know how your engineers’ training is progressing. To help achieve this we can monitor their performance on your behalf and provide you with valuable feedback.
