OLCI Construction Training courses prepare you for industry-recognised qualifications that could enable you to start your own business or gain full-time employment. Here are some of the opportunities you might soon be considering:

Plumbing Courses

As a qualified plumber. Domestic work – plumbing installation work on extensions and new houses, plus replacing existing bathrooms and kitchens. Maintenance work – fixing leaking pipework or replacing items such as showers, taps, ball valves and heating pumps. Emergency callouts – to rectify major leaks. Work on new building sites – to instal heating systems and hot and cold systems; including kitchens and bathrooms. Maintenance contracts – establishments such as hotels, restaurants and offices. Full-time employment – including hospitals, factories and some major offices.

Gas Courses

As a Gas Safe Register gas engineer. Servicing work – for the annual servicing of domestic gas appliances. Work in rented property – appliances have to be serviced and a landlords safety certificate completed. This is a legal requirement and feeds the industry with work. Emergency callouts – to rectify leaks. New builds and domestic properties – the supply can only be installed by a Gas Safe Register gas engineer. This also applies to any appliance to be installed or removed. So, by becoming registered with Gas Safe Register, you could significantly increase your earning potential.

Electrical Training Courses

As a qualified electrician. Domestic work – install electrical domestic lighting and power circuits. Commercial and industrial projects – to install complete systems, in major new office developments. Maintenance contracts – establishments such as hotels, restaurants and offices. Media organisations – television, radio and many other media organisations have ongoing requirements for fitting and maintenance work. Work in sport, entertainment and events – football, rugby and cricket stadiums, theatres, cinemas and concert halls, professional events companies up and down the country.
